For or Against Gay Marriage

The rhetoric of calling gays "oppressed" is getting tiring.

So, as you can see, I don't buy the oppressed moniker. I was watching C-SPAN last night and happened to catch Dr, David Yeagley talking about the tactics used by the left to extract money from the population. All you have to do is get your group labeled "victims". That's the tactic being employed by gays as well.

All you need to do is redefine "diplomat" and you could enjoy those benefits as well.

There is logic in the decision. Gay couples don't meet the definition of marriage just as I don't meet the definition of "black" or "native American" and can't benefit from those monikers.

Marriage may be a human construct, but it's based on a natural union. The same can't be said for gay unions. Gay unions are a purely human construct.

1. Nope they are a class defined by their sexual orientation......You can change that but you can't change being black.........

2. You may be a little bias in your views but I would say that the main way that gay men engage in sex is considered perverse by most Americans.......
Without being to graphic, the anust was designed for and outake not and intake............

You know nothing about the Dems, and Mary Cheney. You donot even know that I also work with the LCR, and I happen to know Patrick Guerriero, the National Chapter President, along with their communications expert, Chris Barron. You just donot know........

People that live in glass houses should not throw stones.........Look at some of your posts how ridiculous they are and all they do is attack me instead of addressing the issue............

Sure ...

I was actually using his own statements.

And the argument is really about recognition, not definition.

In Massachusetts we do. And since it is the states that give out marriage licenses, same-sex marriages ARE marriages.

My point was that christianity was not the originator of marriage.

.

Well, considering those places I mentioned, can you honestly say it's universal?

Well, here in Massachusetts it's a marriage. That is a matter public record.

One day you won't be either, your not irreverent now, your opinion is just as valid as anyone elses. Please keep this attitude up :) gives me hope for the future :) :xlove: Keep the cheese moving :)

I often wonder what happened to the politically active young people of the 60's?

If we are going to use those studies as our guide, should we not allow young African American men to marry? Should we not allow latino men to marry?

Here's another study from UN AIRAB, which shows increases among women...

Increases in the percentage of HIV-infected women also appear to be rising in: North America (25% in 2003, compared to 20% in 2001);

Let's stop them from marrying.

You're a little over excited there, Killer. Extremism on either side of any argument is counter-productive. Don't use such a broad brush when describing America. There aren't that many sodomites here.

I find it ironic that "state's rights advocates" want to use Federal laws to force compliance. Prostitution is legal in Nevada, but a prostitute can't make a legal living as a prostitute in Ohio. Isn't that a full faith and credit clause miscarriage of justice, too? It's legal to drive in Michigan at 16, but don't drive in NY at 16.
Full faith and credit not applying in that instance?
the sad fact is that our laws mean whatever those empowered to make and enforce them says it means.

Dude, you should focus all this energy on some of the real problems of this country. You sound like you think you are going to catch gay or something (or maybe you are fighting something deep within you that you don't want to acknowledge:confused:) If you think gayness is the important in the plethora of problems this country is facing, you'd better think again.

My God that is ridiculous.......I am beginning to believe you are not a Catholic if you were you would know that the church teaches to love the sinner and hate the sin.........

When it comes to social issues you are completely out of touch with church doctrine.............
