But that's EXACTLT what gays want. They want to call the union of a man and a man a marriage. If you want a marriage, marry someone of the opposite sex, otherwise it's an orange in an apple orchard. :)
 
No he can't. And what he truly fails to realize is that the only world where a mother can't teach her son to play ball is one where we restrict. It has NOTHING to do with ability.
 
Same old garbage just a different day... :rolleyes: I fought for my country and am proud of it, and I am a Conservative who would have voted for a moderate like Joe Leiberman last November if he had a snowballs chance in hell to get the nomination............Sadly the democratic party has swung so far to the left thanks to people like you no moderate had a chance to win the nomination.......
 
You can do anything you want..........When straight people have sex unless protection is used there is a chance for conception and populating the race..

pro wide scale socialism
pro fisical irresponsibility
pro global intervention
pro government morality legislation
pro government involvement in the person lives of its citizens
pro tyranny of the majority
pro astronomically large goverment
pro activist judges
pro legislation on religion
pro discrimination on irrational reasons
 
Not sure I buy that...........SounRAB like paying taxes on money you have already paid taxes on but since you don't want to provide a link I will just consider it heresay........

But I would not use that as an excuse to condemn all women or deny their right to make their own decisions. And why are asking me this in a gay marriage thread?
 
Not anymore than he condemns you, Hunter. Have you read my posts about the book of Romans yet? Or even better - have you gone and read the book of Romans? You seem real familiar with one paragragh in one chapter and nothing else. That's what is called taking it out of context. Not a cool thing to do to anyone - let alone the word of God.

Insurance papers, tax papers, will not be reprinted to say civil unions; that is an expense they are un-willing to incur. And what of child portability ? Do you know that over 1,000,000 children have been adopted in this country by gay couples ? A sibling or parent can step in and take the child away from the surviving partner, no questions asked. Then there are medical orders that are drawn up in an attorney's office saying DNR, and the partner can take those papers to the hospital, and have those legal papers over-ruled by the partner who is in a life and death situation. They can also tell the hospital that the partner is not allowed near their son or daughter, brother or sister, etc. These are but a few problems with the civil unions.
 
That is the PURPOSE of govt. bro. However, are you saying the govt. is ALWAYS right? Blacks couldn't get married for quite a long time...was that 'right'?




No one...I mean NO ONE is proposing anything goes. Gays make up about 7% of the population so we are hardly talking about an equivalent number of people who want to marry their brother or sister. Furthermore, men can marry women but brothers can't marry sisters...how then will gay marriage lead to brothers marrying brothers?



If you want to call them civil unions, that's fine with me. I'm just saying that if you are going to offer tax breaks and other govt. benefits to one group in society, you MUST make that available to others. I don't want to see the govt. getting bigger, but denying rights to one group (esp one as large as the gay population) is just as bad as making special rules for another and our govt. shouldn't be doing either. I think marriage IS good for society and I think that more marriage is better.

I would also argue that a male child emulates his father in many ways. His success in future relationships is strongly related to how his father interacts with his mother. Does he show her respect? Does he dominate her? Does he abuse her? Does he cheat on her? The father has a huge impact on both his son's positive and negative characteristics and morality.
While single Moms want to downplay the importance of a father, one only neeRAB to look at urban kiRAB to see what the impact of having a father has on a child's development. The kiRAB with absent fathers are way more likely to be involved in crimes than the kiRAB with fathers present.
