For or Against Gay Marriage

If you're going to jump into a thread after the 800th post, you should at least read the posts by the person you're attacking. I have been educated over the past several months and have seen that there isn't really a negative economic impact including gays in the benefit pool.
And be careful with whom you call a bigot. Them's fighting worRAB in my neck of the wooRAB.

Yes Jitobear, I have read and am familiar with the whole book of Romans. It is clear to anyone who has read the old and new testaments that God condemns homosexuality. You liberals want everyone to think that God would not refuse anyone admittance to Heaven, that is just not the case. A homosexual who repents his sinfull life style choice and quits his perverse life style and accepts Jesus as Lord can gain entry to Heaven, but no practicing homosexual will gain entry into Heaven upon his death.

Adoption by gays is a whole new topic.......This one is about gay marriage....

I still think that the best scenario for any child to succeed in life is to have a mother and father not 2 fathers or 2 mothers.................

FALLACY ALERT, FALLACY ALERT!!!

I hate to break it to you, but modern marriage is anything but religion. A couple must purchase a marriage lisence from the state (that word is going to appear alot in this post) they are getting married in. Many weddings are done with a state judge or federal judge conducting the ceremony. More then a few are conducted on state or federal land/buildings. The marriage is not legal until all the state and federal paper work is done and submitted. More then a few states require the marriage to be consumated before it is legal in the state. Modern marriage revolves around state and federal benefits. Millions of marriages are conducted outside of a religious context. True, I also believe the state and feRAB should get out, but for the time being, modern marriage is not a religious institution.

That isn't really a issue though aganist gay marriage, it's a federalist anti-federalist argument, with some aspects of Adam Smith thrown in. They shouldn't, however, there is a thing called full faith and credit in the bill of rights that superseceded state laws. Without it, this country would be pretty chaotic.

As long as it is the opposite sex I have no problem......That is the only person I can marry........

Becasue that is the law that God laid down and the law of the land and the vast majority of Americans believe it should not change.......

To me it is not just a gay issue.....

It is also clear to any one that has read the old testament that god is a cold hearted killer of unborn babies,... not to mention it likes to Discover the secrete parts of women.

Now I'm going to leave it at that to test your knowledge of scripture ... Can you tell us where these examples are?? .... If not I will be happy to point them out.

Really? I looked over your posts. Most of them run along the lines of defaming judges because you disagree with their judgements, and calling gays a "mythical group" which deserves no rights because of its underlying nonexistence.

Not one of these things is a "point". Mostly its a bunch of hot air.

Not once have you presented any evidence of somebody gaining anything from your point of view. You have not presented a single number, not a single statistic, that any part of society is aided or bettered by your point of view. Though over and over again, you submit this to be the case, saying that "society is going downhill, because of issues like this."

All you do is put people down. You put down judges, you put down gay people, and you put down the people on this string who offer you reason and rationality. Not once have you responded to any of it.

Maybe I spoke too soon.
Heard that gasbag was here as well.

Like I mentioned earlier Winklemarie ;) we best leave before it gets too smelly.

I understand some people think its ok for a girl and girl to be married or a guy and a guy, and yes it may not say in the Bible that gay marriage is unexceptable. In reality though, it is. God didn't create Adam and Even, or Eve and Adrina. He made Adam and Eve for a man and woman. Why have the two different body parts that work together to create special human beings if people want to go for the same parts. Girls have babies. Men put the babies in the women. That is the way its supposed to be, therefor when you marry it should be a man and a woman. Whether you want children or not, its just the way life goes. Whether certain people like it or not

True. But you'll find that people who think that they're above the law (ie self-actualized) have a much easier time disregarding societal norms and thinking that perversion is perfectly acceptable behavior.

I never said the Bible condoned homosexuality. What I did say is that YOU, Hunter, don't get to condemn ANYTHING. You don't speak for God. You don't get to judge. You don't get to force these people to live a certain way (not even God does that). The Bible doesn't support your politics or this ban.

I love my brother, too, but that doesn't make me gay.

If they don't meet the criteria, I'm not rewriting it for them.

The XYY criminal gene? You bought that BS, too? LOL

We know that your parent's swam in the shallow end of the gene pool. That's for certain. :p

Dwarfism is a deformity. The most common form is Achondroplasia.
"Achondroplasia is a genetic disorder. It is caused by mutations in the FGFR3 gene that inhibits growth of cartilage at the growth plate. FGFR3 encodes a protein called Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 3. This protein is the site of action of a major growth factor responsible for lengthening bones. When this growth factor cannot act properly due to the absence of its receptor, the growth of bones, at the growth plate's cartilage, is slowed. This leaRAB to shorter bones, abnormally shaped bones, and shorter stature."http://www.lifescript.com/Health/A-Z/Conditions_A-Z/Conditions/A/Achondroplasia.aspx?gclid=CNqA76C-iZ4CFSANDQodOHPLpA&trans=1&du=1&ef_id=1350:3:s_f4526c435a1659ddf9098783ab65c8b7_2630480521:Sv4b09BbriUAAFB2puYAAALA:20091114025411

Blue eye color is due to recessive genes.

Affirmative Action is a different issue, and there are reasons given for its existence. Could you address the issue of same-sex marriage, without the circular, tired thing, of marriage simply is heterosexual, end of debate?

That's just to stop debate on this particular issue, and you know it.

That's because you have your head in the sand.

Since when? There are many forms of oppression.

The ones who are out and participate in these surveys may. One can be a victim in other ways.

There are reasons. Children don't have the same knowledge and experience. You know that.

Not at the sake of everyone else's rights, but not the case here. Now you are presuming what may have been intended as being right.

Heterosexuality is statistically more normal, so what?

You were arguing in favour of what is most "natural", that's why I responded about monogamy being far from the norm.

I wasn't arguing it was the norm, statistically. Although, bi-sexuality is the norm among bonobos, which are closely related to humans. There are things that are not the majority among animals, besides homosexuality, which do not lead to reproduction, such as kin selection.
