PROBLEM: Only a few of my local friends have an iPhone, and they don't always like the games I do.
WISH: I want a game with a Mafia Wars-style interface (doing jobs, earning money, advancing) that does not require friends to advance. Whether you *can* add friends doesn't matter, but it is not practical for my play style for the game to REQUIRE friends or you can't get to the next level. (I was incredibly disappointed by MW for iPhone in that I couldn't even get to the next set of tiers until completion of all the jobs, and nearly half of them required more than 1 mafia member.)
SOLUTION: Is there anything like this? I have a broad range of tastes, so anything to do with animals, retail shops, food, vampires and other supernaturals and monsters, college life. Pretty much any game with an interface similar to MW that I can play on my coffee breaks at work.
I should add, I don't WANT to add strangers just to be able to play a game. My real-life friends are fine, but as I said, they either don't have an iPhone or don't play the type of games I do.
