...should I do a parody of? It had to be about rocks, igneous, metamorphic, sedimentary, ect.
Someone last year did a really good one of Bohemian Rapsody by Queen.
I need to do a better one than him.. So I need you to pick me out a song to do a parody of. Preferably 2-3 minutes and a rock song.

Eruption - Van Halen (you can add lyrics, this is an awesome guitar song)

All of these songs have a time between 3:10 and 1:40 and I tried to include some older classics like Queen
 
What about "My Angel is the Centerfold" by John Cougar Mellencamp?
The song is pretty repetitive with a fun beat.
Here's a few songs I think would be fun to do:
-Red Hot Chili Peppers; Expecially in Michigan, Dani California, or Coffee Shop
-M.I.A. Paper Planes
Also, depending on whether or not you want a song someone has heard of, I suggest Super Furry Animals, MC Lars or MC Frontalot.
-SFA= Drawing Rings around the World; Juxtaposed With You
-Frontalot= Goth Girls, Crime Spree.
-Lars= iGeneration, Download this Song, 6 Degrees of Kurt Cobain, or Hot Topic is Not Punk Rock. I highly suggest HTiNPR because it's EXTREMLY repetitive. Tis a good one.

Someone did a project very similar to yours; she did the song "Going Under" by Evanescence. It was really good! It was virtually about the same subject too.

well, i dont know what kind of rock you are into. I tried to think of ideas about rocks with these songs =)
