...and the Bible so much? I can understand that you don't want the Christians, Jews and Muslims to affect what the public schools teach your children; to have a big say in abortion rights; to imfluence political elections; to control anything that's not religious. I get that. But why do you talk about the Bible and God when you obviously don't believe in Him? What's the point of that? Shouldn't you be on other sites discussing other things?

I hope I don't sound rude. Just wondering. Peace!

Because you "believers" are such great entertainment.

It's kind of like watching Jerry Springer. You feel so much better about yourself after you've watched those yahoos make utter fools of themselves.

They are obviously not very confident in their beliefs yet, they are still making up their minds, or they are newly atheist and are excited about their realizations. I use to argue it a lot, but then my views became so solid that I didn't need to express it anymore. My beliefs matured. Now I'm rather indifferent. Except when it comes to intolerance of anybody, or when religious fanatics commit violence on and oppress other cultures for not converting, that makes me angry, but so do many other things, and I can't fix all of it, I can just maintain my higher ground. All religion is really beautiful until someone misinterprets it, gets all worked up about it, and becomes all radical.

Because Christians insist of forcing their life on me yet they often misinterpret things (ie homosexuality) so I have to be able to argue back.

Uh, technically I don't. The majority of questions I answer are directed at us. Like this.

Although there is nothing wrong with people being *interested* in other sections of humanity and their beliefs. Or a person living in a Christian dominated country liking to pick it apart...kind of normal for any 'minority' to do with a majority they are forced to live under.

BWHAHAHAH DO TRUE
and btw that first guy, God didnt cause all that too happen so when u want to criticize God get all that facts those people misinterpret the bible and it happens, its not like every black person is going to hate every white person because of what happened to their ancestors and most times religion makes a lot of sense in some political arguments and btw 95% of our presidents where Christan/catholic

You can find something interesting even if you don't believe it is true. I like the show "Heroes" and discuss it with people, but I don't think people actually have superpowers. Come to think of it, I guess that's where we disagree...

Hello !

Faith in God happens to all honest people...it's like an orphan who is always looking for his mother or father...honest people are always looking for His Creator and truth...

Atheism followers put aside their conscience their very own honesty with their logic which is deceiving themselves...

It's BECAUSE of the topics you mentioned, that we have to.

For example, I'd like to have a fair debate on abortion. And I can understand both sides of the agenda. But then, inevitably, a believer will tell me God is against it. That, for one ends the debate about abortion. And for two, to bring the debate back to abortion, I first need to explain that "God" is an unproven idea, and has no place in the debate.

And then, oddly enough, I get accused of mocking God. They bring Him up, not me.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Know your enemy.

Now I'm not saying you are my enemy, but I am saying that when you are being force fed things you don't believe, you need to know your facts, so you can fight back. Sadly an atheist knows more about the history of the religion being forced on them, more so than the one forcing it upon them. The reason we discuss it is because we have too.

Plus why do (not saying you do) so many christians have sites that talk about the atheist "problem" when the majority of their existence (the afterlife) they won't see atheists and will be proven right. So why do they care if we don't believe in their god? And yes you may have notice that when I spell "god," I spell it with a lower case "g." This is because I don't separate him from all the other gods you don't believe in.

While gods do not exist, the harm done in their name is very, very real.

You stated the reasons. I don't want MY rights infringed by another's religion.

Well i think I have the right to make my beliefs known about you religion and beliefs because they affect my daily life.

I have a right to be here a much as you do honey. I do not discuss God. I discuss my opinion. Take this nonsense somewhere else.
