Sorry. I have this problem with people. It's called lack of trust.
My book is set in a neo-victorian world in the capital called the City. Dyana is the daughter of a Lord, one of the favored families of the King's bloodline, so she should be accepted by other kids her age, right? But Dyana has a secret, and when that secret was spilled 5 years ago, all hell broke loose (well, socially anyway). Dyana's mother was a Magic addict, and infected Dyana with the thirst for Magic when she was 5 years old. Ten years on, she takes her photo. A photo that changes everything...
