For a "layperson" which astronomy is better/more interesting: Stellar Astronomy &...

...Cosmology or Solar System? So I'm a future undergraduate and I'm picking out classes to fulfill my science credit. I'm very, very interested in taking astronomy -- though I won't be majoring in it -- and I think it's the most fascinating science. I should probably also mention that I'm not too good at math/physics, which I heard is pretty common in astronomy.

Anyway for an amateur, which type of astronomy should I take? Which one is more interesting and has not-as-advanced math/physics?

ASTR 154. Solar System Astronomy

An introduction to the astronomy and planetary science of the solar system, with emphasis on the formation, structure and composition of the planets circling the sun. Other topics studied include the examination of comets and the asteroid belt, Kuiper belt planetismals such as the former planet Pluto, formation and composition of the moons circling the planets, the search for planets outside the solar system, and the possibility of extraterrestrial life in and outside the solar system.

ASTR 155. Stellar Astronomy and Cosmology

An introduction to modern astronomy of the stars, including its historical development, study of the earth and sun’s place in the universe, characteristics of the stars, stellar birth, evolution and death, and the origin and fate of the universe.
