For a History project, what would be an interesting aspect of Japan to present?

It doesn't have to be anything really profound, but I was thinking of presenting "The History of Japanese Music". My teacher said it could be ANYTHING you are interested in - from rock bands to sheep. lol

So, please help me by suggesting ideas that are Japanese related in which I can present the "history of" or a "how to" project.
 
You could write about the KIMONO or even their Tea Ritual..The Japanese have a very vast history. You could even look up something on Wikipedia about Japan and then select a particular subject.
