I went to see it tonight.

Thought it was pretty good. I preferred ID overall in this genre of film as I felt that this film lacked much in the way of a storyline.

The bit with Raff, Zebadee and Billy Brights children was really funny as was the bit where they wound up Tommy.

I feel sorry for the guy that plays Billy Bright, has he ever been cast as anything other than the villain?

thought it was only ok.
5/10

danny dyer kept the film going, top actor,

there a few football hooligan films coming out soon, the yank with the kid from lord of the rings(elisha wood)i think,

and soul crew being made by the guy who done trainspotting, about the cardiff firm

I thought it glorified hooligans too much.

But saying that, I thought football hooliganism wasn't really explored much in this film, it had some funny moments but other than that it didn't really hold my attention for too long.

How come no women are allowed in this thread, just wanted to say i thought it was quality, the bit with the Upton Park Firm in the back of the van was my best bit (being a Hammers Supporter! Come on you IRONS!!!), along with the old man (wilfred!) smoking weed!

Id say on par with the Firm and i just love Billy Bright in this and Danny Dyer, although saying that i dont know why he feels the need to put on his accent like that! He comes from Custom House (same as me!) so he should speak naturally like a cockney!

i havnt seen it yet but will see it... although its third on my list behind the day after tomorrow and Troy.

But its half term so...

Cant wait for the trilogy football films -= "Goal"

Also just thought i would point out that Bill Bright played one role that wasnt villainous - Jules' dad in Bend it Like Beckham!

Anyone gonna tell me why no birRAB were allowed in this thread?

Yeah, I checked imdb about an hour after posting earlier and saw that he has had quite a few parts when he hasn't been a villain. Obviously it is down to the kind of film I choose to watch.

Oh yeah, the thread starter is banned so he can't tell you why he said there were to be no comments from women.

Do you know why he was banned?

Anyways i loved the film! Thought it was fantastiche!!! :D :D :D

Wow, this has to be the oldest thread resurrection I've ever seen!!

PS. love the OP attitude re: blokes only. Gotta love the old sterotypes :p

I preferred Green Street too.

I never thought it possible to make a comedy film about football hooliganism but Green Street managed to pull it off.

It was hilarious.
