Over the last few weeks, I have signed up for a number of google
alerts having to do with food and cookbooks. Today, one of those
alerts led me to foodily, which is a food search engine that
allows one to compare recipes side by side. I just searched for
"channa masala", and, based on the results, this looks promising.
What do you think?

You can sign up for emails telling you when certain specified
terms come up on the web or in blogs each day. Hint: use
quotation marks.

So, did you look at foodily?

Interesting site. I wish I could exclude certain sites, like
cooks.com.

I searched for scotch eggs and the first 12 recipes were relevant,
then it got into recipes that contained "Scotch" in the title and eggs
in the ingredients. And then back to Scotch Eggs recipes again.

Yes. I actually saw mention of it on a food list I am on, and I
didn't even look, because I was suspicious. But it is fine and
may be useful.

It's a great idea, nice looking site too.
Is it just me or does it only search in english speaking websites?

There is no such thing as "self explanatory" when it comes to sf. You
have to retype everything from that link into a Usenet message so she
understands.

It should be in flux if it's still in Beta.

Interesting site. I bookmarked it. Not sure if it will be helpful, but
it might be fun to play with.

Thanx
