There was a renegade sheriff in Rio Vista (Isleton?) that was handing
out CCWs left and right, this about 10-15 yrs ago. Jes fill out the

storm for about 6 mos, as I recall, but much like the Isleton Crawdad
Festival, he got slapped down for becoming too popular. ;)

It's still too easy. If you're not crazy or have a criminal past and
own a legal firearm, then you should be able to get a CCW. I hope all
the gun nuts stick to wounding, maiming and killing each other, not
the other people who don't own a gun.

You struck a nerve. Fortunately, when I get fed up enough they come
out and change the line from the pole to the house or change the box
the wires go into... which actually does improve the image for a
while. We get a lot of damage from salt in the air/fog (I'm near the
ocean).

Not really true. Multipath will degrade the DTV signal. In some
ways the degradation is worse than is usual for an analog TV signal --
pixelation and longish gaps between the picture and the sound.

That is certainly true.

I know some people have had them with no problems, but having to send them
back repeatedly is not good. They send you a refurbed unit that is pristine
and cannot be told from new, but you are getting someone else's crap that
did not work. The last one sent back had a cracked bezel after about 8
months of use. That is a know problem and supposedly has been corrected.
The others froze up and could not turn off or turn back on. Great when it
works, but still seems to be a reliability crap shoot. O,k if you return
it, you don't lose any books in the library.

Yes. Life's too short to spend it eating a dessert made out of pickles

And the other shows are no better. Like "Cupcakes Wars" that are shown

simple icing) can you eat before you move to other pastries like
eclairs or pecan pie or macarons or baklava or tiramisu or pear torte
or or panna cotta or hundreds of other delectable meal-enders?
