food for fish????? need your knowledge?

i was wondering what other kind of food can be put into fish tank (other than commercially bought food) as a treat for them, i have heard of cooked peas without the shells being given, is there any others, and is there anything in the way of preparation before it can be given
and is there any fish that are intolerant to non commercial foods being introduced,

200 litre community tropical tank
