Food coloring?

turn orange. And their brains did not register much
cheese flavor, even though the Cheetos tasted just as they did with food
coloring.

One of our brands of those is white and just as poipular and tasty as the
yeller ones,

I doubt it. You were probably already registered. I didn't need to
register to view that link either, because I was already registered
and I remember when I had to do it. Blake had posted a link and
everyone here was complaining about having to register. I thought
that was weird because I'd never had to register, so I looked. Sure
enough, it wanted me to register. I don't read the NYT unless someone
posts a link, so I really don't care if they are tracking me or not.

produces paler butter and cheese. So, people used carrots or flower
petals to color their milk to make those things.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I cannot think of the last food
item I've consumed that had hidden food coloring in it. For that
matter, I can't think of the last obviously day glo food I've eaten
either. We just don't eat much that comes in a
can/box/bottle/jar/freezer bag.
