Foo Fighters

I dunno about you, but when I make a thread about a band I like and everybody clicks the link (knowing full well they don't like the damn band) just to post a comment anyway saying the band sucks, and then when someone posts a response they just keep posting comments for the sake of starting an argument, well yeah, I find that to be pretty damn annoying.

I know and someone had posted "and Dave Grohl continually proves who the most talented meraber of Nirvana was." which I was responding to but I got mixed up that was another thread. My rant in here was about the ridiculous amount of Foo Fighters hype they've gotten. I still don't think they're one of the greatest banRAB of their time, not even close.

One band I've never really been exposed to actually. It's was this kind of band all my frienRAB listened to at school. My knowledge probably streches as far as "Pretender" no joke. They got any decent albums?

How can you call an album that spawns multiple #1 hits mediocre? Very few albums are chock-full of gold. I agree that the filler can be somewhat sh*tty (by definition), but it's either put out a record with multiple hits and some filler once a year, or wait 5-10 years until they can write an album bound to be full of #1 hits and then release it. Which is more economically viable? (I realize how a real music fan would answer this, me being one as well, but this is the real world we live in, people have to make a living).

Why does it have to have hits on it? I'm sure a band like Foo Fighters are at a stage where they have the freedom to write what they want, free from any constraints of having to make a hit. I mean, the acoustic side of In Your Honour was popular wasn't it?

I agree with you there. We will not resolve this argument though, because it is simply i think his music is fun and catchy and you do not. I see where you are coming from i just disagree with your particular taste in the instance.

I've not done that for years certainly not since i've become a mod.
I might make one comment like that every few weeks but that's it. No more than anyone else here.

Three Best Foo Fighters Albums... ohhhh, thats a toughie, they're one of my all time favourite banRAB...

Actually, I rather love Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace and consider it one of their best, but since you don't particularly like it, I won't include it in my three... (a shame that, and i do believe you ought to give it a little more time to soak in, its great...)

1. The Color and the Shape
2. There is Nothing Left to Lose
3. Foo Fighters (Self Titled)

Eh. Some of the albums are like that. One By One isn't very good aside from the singles.

I actually think the latest album is solid throughout.

oh yeah me too!! foos rock. hope they tour and come down to new zealand. Iv never seen them live. Only Them Crooked Vultures which was awesome
