Foo Fighters

I kinda agree with the notion thast One by One was a bit of a low point for the band... but it's not altogether a BAD album, just not as good as the albums that repceeded it...

It still has the title track, Tired of You, Times Like These and Come Back, which are all tight tracks, the kind only the Foos could bust out... and the other songs aren't awful either, just a little less thought out and well composed than their other stuff.

The two albums since One by One have been stellar in my opinion. Great catchy, gritty hard pop / rock songs with a timeless quality.

Echoes Silence Patience and Grace sees them branch out a little more stylictically, which I think is a great thing. It's actually my third favorite Foos album after Colour and the Shape and There is Nothing Left to Lose.

I think you mean "New Way Home."

Yeah, the Foos are going to be recording a new album soon, but I'm honestly not that happy about it. I'd rather Dave Grohl stay in Them Crooked Vultures for a little while longer, maybe make a 3rd album and then get back to the Foos. Supposedly, JPJ said that a new Vultures album (2nd album) is due out by the end of the summer, and boy am I excited!

I also wanted to state that I thought the Foos One By One was a pretty solid album. I don't understand all the hate it gets. Sure it was a little rushed and it shows, but it has some good songs, I'm particularly fond of "Lonely As You" and "Burn Away." "Tired Of You" never hit with me. The song just never really goes anywhere.

Technical talent on an insturment does not mean that you have fame and fortune. I'd wager that somewhere out there, right now, there is a guitarist who plays as well as Hendrix, but does it simply for his own sake or is involved in some small project where his talents aren't recognized by anyone. In fact I'd wager that there are many like this. Hell, my piano teacher is probably far more talented than the pianist who plays for All American Reject and he ain't a millionaire.

Naw! It's all about the writing and the arrangements. Back-up banRAB usually have more instrumental talent than permanent band merabers. We don't praise them. When all's said and done it comes down to the quality of the music and that's rooted in the quality of the ideas.

Why do girls fancy Dave Grohl? One of my best female frienRAB does and she's 18, she just fancies him so much. I just don't get it.

Kurt was always the good looking one. Well, not now he isn't.. for obvious reasons.

Yes indeed, I did most definitely mean new Way Home.... and I don't have anything particularly against Tired of You.... sure it's a bit meandering and less focussed than some Foos songs, but it provides a nice quiet reflective stretch in an otherwise rock laden album...
