the larger door you found is the one your looking for,you may have to remove the box to repair it ,but hopefully not, that door opens up to the heater core and is probably whats blocking the heat off,the air suppose to blow off the heater core and through the vents and if that door doesn't open it cant do that,i know those are a pain to get to and repair, see if that one is vacuum operated or electrical,if so the actuator may be bad that opens the door on it,and that will be why your not getting any heat, its been a while since i have seen one of those go bad,but it happens, you should be able to get the box down enough to get to that part and repair it,the air has to blow the heat off the heater core or you don't get no heat at all,and that may be the problem you have found on it,the one door you spoke of is the one that divides the heat from the cold, you can get that one started by hooking a few wires up enough to see if that's the problem with it,it may be the only way to find exactly which on isn't working on it,good luck.EDIT i,ll add this also, the last one i did was a real pain to get to work right again, but unless the heat can get from the heater core and circulate through the heater box and then be distributed out through what ever setting you choose on the dial it wont work right.
