I have watched this recently for the first time and now am in love with this series. Alchemy is a really cool art and both Al and Ed have given up so much to try to get their mother back, how tragic

I'm loving Al as a character, he adRAB a lot of depth to the show, more than I thought he would because I thought he was just going to be a big, durab, gargntuan armor that killed stuff....boy was I wrong!

I know it has been a while for a lot of you since you've seen this but what did everyone think? There was some good action in the first storyline but it relied a lot of character development and showing us the reason why Ed and Al are the way they are and I have to say, the "Mother" episode was a tear jerker....
 
I don't mind light spoilers, it gives me a preview of what's to come

From how volume 1 ended I looks as of Ed is determined to become a state alchemist...
