I modified a micro usb cable with a pl2303 borrowed from an obsolete flashcable.

F030 and mtk flashtool 3.908 presents the result after pressing the on key and a full red bar "NAND unkown type" any one any idea what type of NAND rom the F030 uses ?? and what program fix the problem ??

F035 starts to light up every light it has as soon as I connect to the flashcable and after pressing the lights go out and the vibra starts working overtime. After removing the battery it was still working OK..

Both have a MTK GPS build in
The F030 uses the mt6235 chip
The F035 claims to use the mt6238 ( in engenering mode )

I need to flash the phones in order to install and improve the navigation software that is embedded..

Main concern is F030 now any one allready flashed this one ??? and how ;-)
 
I may not be able to help you with flashing, but I own F030 and I was stupid enough to order it without SD card, cause I already had one from my previous phone, and now GPS is not working. There are no maps installed, and support wanted me to send phone back to china in order to get navigation software and maps on this model. They said that I can't just order new microSD card with maps preinstalled, and however there is no Europe maps available, so I thought it wasn't worth a hassle.

So, I'm basically writing all this because I'm trying to set up any third party java navigation software, maps, or trying to find a way to activate gps on my phone, and I thought maybe you can help. I'm even willing to pay for any software or app which can use internal GPS from F030, or maybe original dirs/maps from F030. I can provide FTP server details if anyone is able to upload those files from original sd card.

The Navigation software is build in ...

It is the part that doesn't function anymore ( till now ) after ugrading the firmware...

All you need is a SD card with the directory SunaviMapData

I have shared all my maps and needed stuff on emule.... the first thing you need is the UserInterface Voice and Config files maps can be installed and replaced ... There were some sites who had all this stuff in russia and one in france ... both or at least the russian forum is offline ...

search for sunavi in emule and these are all the maps there are at present
 
Hi all, we have the GPS software for these phones on our website. You can all download it. We have our own dedicated server, so don't worry, go ahead and grab it!

The file is called F035, just because we uploaded it for a customer who wanted it for the F035. But the maps are all the same for these models:
F029, F030, F035, F038, and F053.

The maps are for: Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.

We also have maps for a few other countries. We will put them up soon.

We tried for a very long time to install Java GPS maps for the USA on the F035, but none of the programs we tried was successful. So these phones all have internatl GPS receivers, and they all support Java, but so far it is not as easy as installing a Java GPS map on it.

No other program i working yet with GPS on this machine

same goes for F029 F030 etc etc ...

Navigation program is written in C and linked direct into the kernel.

The above link contains no map nor gps software just a flashtool ...

For everyone who want to try ... BEWARE ... you can read the NAND rom but reprogramming is another story

Thanks a lot, this file f035.rar didn't help, but I found another link on your site (gps_phone) which was exactly what I was looking for. This is a huge step forward for me, cause I finally managed to start GPS application, and locate my position, speed and elevation

Are you able to extract data from .db map files, and do you think it's possible to create custom maps using openstreetmap or some other maps, and 'translate'/modify it somehow in order to use with GPS software built in F030/035 phone?

Yes, you can't download the map by other third party, because the maps are built-in the memory card.
But if you don't order the memory card, you can contact me, i can send you the files for the map to you

More and more maps are availible ...
And yes they contain "mistakes" specialy round exits of highway or turnpike
I can read parts of the database but no map yet and so far I can't replace any data ...

For all I know the US map is ready too... and since spain, portugal, France, germany, Belgium and Netherlands take up about 4GB .. i wonder what the size of the US map will be, I guess 8GB +
 
This link was wrong when I first posted it. But now I have changed the file. So the link now has the maps for Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Russia, and Argentina. I will post the others when they are available.
 
TO UPLOAD JAR/JAD APLICATION, please connect with WIFI or GRPS, and acess using the default browser and enter the aplication address...ex:
