I've been an anxiety sufferer for 2 years now and wondering if anyone has flu-like symptoms that doesn't cause them to flair up into a full blown attack. My symptoms are: persistant Nausea, head-ache, off-and-on flurries of dread.. I just feel disabled when I get these spells, I've been checked for everything from brain to heart, and I'm only 18. Someone please respond and let me know if anyone experiences this, and if so what sort of symptoms you have because it's sort of hard for me to explain because it's such a weird feeling.

God Bless.

yes thats VERY possible. i have anxiety too....sometimes i would/will start feeling like i am gagging or even sickish...you just need to realize that it is just anxiety and then you wont have to worry just lay down and clear your head for 10mins or read a book

anders, if your doctors can't find any explanation for your symptoms, I would suggest you consider Lyme disease...panic and anxiety attacks, and the other symptoms you're experiencing can be symptoms of lyme which starts out as a case of a cold or the flu (sometimes without the respiratory symtoms).

There are many myths out there about lyme...keep in mind most people don't see a bulls eye rash, lyme can be transmitted in the worab so you can be born with it, and they now think that insects other than ticks may transmit the disease.

Some docs think that 1/2 of chronic conditions, like panic and anxiety, are actually undiagnosed Lyme...it is EXTREMELY unlikely your doctors are trained to diagnose/treat this condition. Most people with personal experience with Lyme recommend seeing a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor who can treat based on symptoms (tests are VERY unreliable). Lists of these specialists and other info about lyme can be found on the lyme boarRAB.

Good Luck!
