Well, if Florida only has 40 people on welfare during the 6 week period, then yeah, it is a waste, but then again, having that few people on "the system" wouldn't cost jack shit anyway and thus shouldn't be an issue at all. Heck, Warren Buffett should just hire them all to wash is ass.

and what if June is heavier than august...and it's usually 20% higher but this year it was 40% higher

5 months of saving $240 = $1200

Break-Even Point == 4.75 months.

Gotta spend money to make money, durabass. Wait, you're not one of those incandescent bulb hold-outs that thinks because CFLs and LERAB are initially more expensive that they can't possibly save you money, are you?
 
hell why not charge high school students to take a drug test every week?

run government like a buisness, and markup the costs so we make money on every failed test!
 
And they only get $240/mo.? Yea right. Obviously, they've subtracted away the cost of the test to make the "savings" look even smaller. Even THEN, you get a breakeven in less than a year. That's not bad. It can take 15 years to break even if you put up solar panels on your house, or 2+ years to break even on changing out all your light bulbs to CFLs.
 
There are certain high schools that drug test their students, although I'm pretty sure it comes down to mostly private schools. I think there have also been several public high schools which drug test students. Luckily most high schools including the one I went to do not drug test their students.
 
I'd like to see that. You could use other states as reference lines. If every other state is going one way, and Fla is going the other, there's definately a shift.
