Flood of PS3 Information

I'd imagine that some who waited will see the value in having a Blu-Ray player. There are tons of reasons to buy it (just as there are tons not to).

I have no problem with the launch list, I can see a few games I want

I realize that they are ports at this point but I dont have a problem with that since I dont have the games on the other systems anyways

well they kinda threw all the eggs in one basket by adding Blu-ray as mandatory. IT was the same formula that sold alot of PS2s and burried SEGA. Only difference is Blu-ray is not the accepted standard yet.

I bet they are gambling a little but with the PS3 to get Blu-Ray a wider adoption range. Toshiba's HD-DVD player is still 450+.

When say negotiating with other companies, they won't be willing to match the price of the HD-DVD, or come closer to it, so the other companies will go with HD-DVD instead.

I was just saying for an example, as I'm worn out on RPGs of any kind as is, and I wouldn't buy any at the moment, except maybe PSU since it's been a while since I've played phantasy star.

FF hasn't interested me in a long time, due to all the cut scenes that I have to sit through. I'd rather actually play the game.

MGS4 looks decent, but I really don't see the console being worth it just for that one game.

Yeah it would be useless info if you're an Xbox fanboy...why did you enter the thread?

The game is a remake of a classic so its pretty big news to someone.

A launch title lineup is huge news.

From what I've seen, the discs are cheaper, but yes, you could say the players as well. I just know Sony will fuck it up somehow.

xbox fan huh? This thread is for us comsumers who dont hold strict bias' towards consoles(are you 10?). THe launch lineup might well effect some ppls decisions of to buy or not to buy.
