flip phones, imo, are too much work to answer the phone. I have to fish it out of my pocket, look at the front screen, decide if i want to talk to them, and THEN open the flip to answer. PITA, if you ask me.

candybars are the best thus far, plus, as has been noted before, the less moving parts the better.

slider, i wasnt sure i'd like it, but i loved my n80, which is a slider. the smaller form of the flip, with the convenience of a candybar.

i don't do the swing-around swivel bs, though.
 
Candy bar is best. Swival like W600i is worst. It goes something like this in my book

CandyBar >>>>>>> Sliders > Flip > Swival

Candybar are less likely to break, more pocketable generally, always ready to answer a call.

i dont mind really if its candy bar, flip or slider..althou i do prefer candy bar~

Flip means the inner screen is protected from scratches and the buttons are protected from accidental pocketdialing somebody.

Flips are easier to answer and hangup with one hand (gross motor skill instead of fine motor skill.

That said, I'll take a Nokia candybar anyday over a motorola flip. I hate the motorola UI. I once bought a motorola V557 just to have the flip form factor. What a mistake.

I tend not to have too much preference. But I do tend to keep my phone in my pocket and the candybars I've had would sometimes make calls on their on Flip protected the buttons.

flip phones feel like an old form factor to me. I love sliders since they seem more innovative. however, I prefer candybar.
