Flint The Time Detective

Does anyone remember this show? I don't remember a whole lot about it other than that I really liked it. I believe that it aired on Fox on saturday mornings some time ago.

I remember watching this show. It was on weekday mornings back when ABC Family was known as FOX Family, even though I think it was for awhile after the name change as well. It was a cute and silly kind of show where these kids from the future somehow find Flint and his father, who is somehow a piece of a rock that Flint uses as a weapon, and they go through time to find these different creatures, who all had special powers, from affecting the time line. I think that they would almost always meet a famous person as a kid in every episode.

It was a pretty fun show to watch, along with Monster Rancher and Digimon back in the day.

All I remember about that series is how much the main villainous kept reminding me day and night of Jesse from the Pokemon anime. Or was that Mon Colle Knights? I watched both series far and few between during its airing and sometimes had a habit of mixing them both up.

It was Flint. Petrafina was her name, I believe, and she worked with two really silly-looking monsters who I recall having bad pun names. Mon Colle Knights had Prince Eccentro and his two young female servants (daughters?)

Flint the Time Detective was my most favorite next to Dragonball/Z/GT, Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, & Yu-Gi-Oh!/GX/5D's which used to come on FOX/ABC Family & Foxkids back in the day.It was a funny comedy series involving Flint, his stone hammer father Rocky, Tony, & Sarah traveling back in time meeting famous people when they were kids even Bruce Lee was in it & Petra Fina as a kid who's a princess, hehehehe, while retrieving the Time Shifters that're adorable next to the Pokemon/Digimon especially when they evolve into their strong forms like them while battling against the evil Petra Fina sent by Dark Lord when she mostly possesses the Time Shifters turning them into scary beasts with the Petra-Stamp, of course Flint Hammerhead was so like Kid Goku who's the strong, funny, spikyhaired, hungry kid-type, & Sarah's fears of bugs like Misty's, hehehe:p, what an awesome series.

Petra Fina was my top favorite great silly villainess next to my other top favorite silly villains, The Big Cheese, Team Rocket, King Dedede, & Excel which her crushes on the Dark Lord were hilarious along with her personality on getting the heroes, disguised as the teacher Miss Iknow, especially her childhood past & joining forces to stop Dark Lord & she reminded me of Jesse/Prince Eccentro as well, & is voiced by Barbera "Rita Repulsa" Goodson, hehehe, nice villainess role. Her 2 silly-looking monster henchmen, Dino & Mite were great next to Gluko & Batch from Mon Colle Knights.

My favorite awesome Time Shifters were Get-A-Long, Talen, Mosbee, Bindi(Merlock's partner), the Cardians, Moah, Musey, Knuckle, Dipper, Shadow, & Orbit which Talen was SO cute:anime:, the Cardians reminded me of the Axem Rangers from SuperMarioRPG, hahahahaha, & Moah was so freaky for a Moai/Easter Island stonehead-type next to Pokemons' Nosepass.

I loved Dark Lord's Great Four minions who're Super Ninja, the Uglinator, Nascal, & Ominito which they're funny awesome evil monsters much different than the Time Shifters with powerful cool abilities/transformations which the Uglinator's second form was so awesome, scary looking.

The dub opening was hilarious/awesome next to the original Japanese opening as well.

As PC! mentioned, it was Flint. Looking back, the main villain really did look like Jessie with green hair. That was pretty weird. I think that the end of the series revealed how her two monster sidekicks were from some science experiment during some point of time and the villain came and offered them a chance to escape.

Oh, it wasn't just the hair; her attitude was pure Jesse, vain, easily tempered, sultry appearance, etc. I think she may have been the best character in the series just for how entertaining she was.

Aaah Flint the Time Detective! I loved that show! I got a bunch of episodes on VCR tapes XD

In prehistoric time Flint and his father Rocky met the Time Shifter Getalong and soon got attacked by the time bandit Petrafina, wanting to get that Time Shifter for the mysterious Dark Lord (the man she loved). Flint and Rocky opposed the criminal and for their troubles the two and Getalong were fossilized by Petrafina's weapon. A volcanic eruption occured and Petrafina was prevented from grabbing Getalong as the trio go burried under the lava.

Back in her futuristic present Petrafina, using her secret civilian identity of Miss Iknow, high school teacher, got her class to go dig at the site of the volcanic eruption, hoping to find Getalong still underneath. Unfortunately Getalong and the talking Hammerheads (boy that must have been a LONG wait) were found by Sarah and her twin Tony who just so happen to be the niece and nephew of Professor Goodman, the local official of the Bureau of Time and Space!

Prof Goodman unfossilized Flint and Getalong but the process didn't work on Rocky completely so he turned the living slab of rock into a stone axe for Flint so he could carry his father around!

The Time Bureau then made Flint a Time Detective (for reasons revealed later) and he and his new found friends were tasked with retrieving the Time Shifters from all over History. While foiling Petra Fina.

Yes they often met famous persons, but not always as kids (they met Christopher Columbus during his famous journey for exemple and Oda Nobunaga as an adult and Leonardo DaVinci made a painting of Sarah!) and sometimes they just went to famous era and didn't meet anyone famous (see the episodes 'Moa', 'The Cardians' and 'Muscle' for exemple). They even met Petrafina as a kid once...she was a bonafide princess! At the end of their adventure they would erase the memory of the people they met and go back to their era.

The Time Shifters possesed many abilities of varying utilities. Getalong had her Getalong beam who could make people more agreeable. It could also erase Petrafina's 'Petrastamp' mark that she used to control Time Shifters. you had Jitterbug who could make people dance, Bubblegum who shot bubbles, Talin who could enter books, Mosby who had a freeze ray, Arty who could bring art to life, and plenty of others! Time Shifters under the control of Petrafina could 'Petraform' to a nasty 'Con' form while their desire to help their friends would allow them to shapeshift into a powerful and heroic 'Master' shifter form! RaldoMaster was one of my favorite XD

Later on the vampire-esque goofball Merlock, another Time Bureau agent, was added to the cast. Merlock fell for Sarah while the Time Shifter Bindi fell for him!
