Flight 93 or United 93

I too am confused by this. One is out on dvd. I have seen it for rental in Blockbuster. The other is coming to cinemas in June. I thought it was the one film had gone straight to dvd but no, they are two different titles.
 
flight 93 is a made for tv movie/docu of that flight on sept 11th 2001


united 93 is the movie released soon about that flight on sept 11th 2001

There was also a programme about the flight on Discovery Channel yesterday called "The Flight that Fought Back" with actors taking on the parts of the passengers and interviews with relatives etc. (Just to add to the confusion)
 
There was a TV movie called Flight 93.

The current United 93 movie did have the name Flight 93 for quite a while until it was changed a few months before release.

I believe they renamed the movie version so it doesn't get confused with the TV movie.
 
I watched United 93 last night. Really powerful movie, it makes you feel like you were a passenger on that flight.

It does this by not going into the background of any of the characters. What we see and hear is what any passenger on that flight would see or hear from the others.

All hardly known actors too which is good. The final scene will stay in your mind for a while.
 
Saw the trailer for United 93 today, when I went and saw the Da Vinci code. It looked like it was really powerful, and I'm hoping to see the film when it comes out in the cinema.
 
I watched Flight 93 and was wondering why it was on DVD, yet not out at the cinema yet, so thanks for explaining the confusion. How silly to have 2 films on this at once.

I'm not sure if I can bear to watch United 93 as spent the whole time fighting back the tears for Flight 93. Truly powerful and harrowing stuff.
 
I've got free preview tickets for United 93 this Wednesday, can't make my mind up whether to go. I know it's going to be a tough watch.

Last free tickets I got were for Munich, why can't I go and see a comedy!
 
It's the same with Poseidon, There was a TV movie remake last year of the Poseidon Adventure which is now out on DVD in the US entitled "The Poseidon Adventure", talk about confusing!
