Hey I really need some help as I have already taken apart my Xbox 360. My Disc Drive out of my 360 has stopped working and I'm getting a new one. So I planned on just getting the new one and taking that chip board looking thing and putting it in the new Disc Drive. I thought I only had to flash it if I wanted to play illegal games and stuff? I heard I need to flash the Firmware back onto the new drive or something. Do I need to do this even if I want to take the chip out of the old drive and put it in the new one?
If I do need to flash it I have no clue what i'm doing. Can someone send me a link that shows not only what to do but what I need to connect the Drive to my computer?
