Flashing light when eyes closed?

Before i go to sleep ill sometimes experience strong, fast like pulsating flashes when i close my eyes but they dont last long.What could they be?
Im 20 and male

This happens to me when i injure my neck sometimes, for me its the nerves in the neck that gets strained and that makes my face strange and my eye flash when closed
