Flashing BENQ (VAD6038) drive using USB to Sata/IDE adapter?

Hi everyone. i've been at this for about a week now and can't seem to figure it out. Is it even possible to flash the BENQ (VAD6038) using the USB drive with a USB to Sata/IDE adapter? I really hope so i only have a laptop and don't really have access to a desktop. pls help.
