Flashing A AX8600

:help: Im going to be flashing a LG AX8600, which is pretty much Alltel's version of the Verizon VX8600. My question is, can I just use the 9900 tutorial to get everything working right? Mainly just MMS. The person Im flashing it for doesnt care for mobile web or nothing and I dont want to mess their mp3 player up so Im not touching their brew settings either. Or would I have to flash it over to the VX8600 firmware and then follow the 9900 tut? Thanks for any and all input.

Pretty sure it's going to work the same as flashing the vx8600, but the problem might come when u try to change the phone#@alltel.com to phone#@mycricket.com...

Seems that Alltel has something that checks to make sure it's phone#@alltel.com

If you can get around that though you should be good.

Yes, you can use the same instructions as the 9900

Did you get the mms or wap working. I used the 9900 instructions and I didnt get it working. I didnt try that long but i was just curious if yours worked.
