I currently have a metro pcs phone, and just saw that metro got the blackberry curve, new its like $400 so i checked out ebay for cheaper used ones and they were all like flashed to metropcs service. what i was wandering was,
How hard is it to have the number from my old phone switched to one of these flashed phones and is this something i can do at a metro store or is it illegal?

You can port your phone number to any cell phone company within 24 hours. It is not illegal at all. Just visit any Metro PCS store and they will port your phone number to their cell phone company. The only concern is if you have a T-Mobile or A T&T cell phone you will not be able to flash that cell phone onto Metro PCS. Due to different networks. AT &T and T-Mobile uses GSM network while Metro PCS uses CDMA network.

Metro PCS is compatible only with Verizon and Sprint phones. You can bring any Verizon and Sprint cell phone to a Metro PCS store and Metro PCS will flash the cell phone for you for a one time fee.

All you need to do is take the flashed blackberry to any Metro PCS dealer and they'll be able to connect it for you no problems at all. As a matter of fact, you can take any sprint or verizon phone to a Metro PCS dealer and they'll flash it for you, you just need to pay for it to be flashed.
