Flash Player not working properly in Facebook?

i have had a problem with not being able to make comments and facebook running crappy after reformatting my pc (from other non related issues) i have run the facebook diagnostics and it says flash version: Not detected. when i have just installed the latest flash player on my pc.
so after using the flash uninstall where do i go to find the basic flash player 9? i have tried to find it and i have installed what i think is it and it turns out not to be any set up for flash player.
Please help
 
it was probably installed but corrupt this is a common issue - reinstal again from adobe.com and then repair the browser addin - www.computer-adviser.com/internet-explorer-cannot-load-flash-addin.html
