Flash of light in my eye when running on treadmill?

I didn't think about it until now but a long time ago I was running on a treadmill and I saw a flash of light then I fell down and hit my chin and slid off, it was very wierd can anyone tell me what could've happened? Oh yeah and when I fell I didn't feel any pain another wierd thing.
