Flash not working in windows 7?

I just installed windows 7 ultimate 2 days ago and when I go to any sites with streaming video such as youtube the browser crashes and stops responding.
What can I do to fix the problem so that I can watch youtube
both firefox and IE hang and I already have the 32bit
