I've been curious how a USB flash drive stores the memory without a power source? For example a GBA game stores is using a CMOS battery of some sort (only saying CMOS cause they look exactly the same and the same size battery) so yeah I've been curious how a flash drive keeps its memory without a power source?
Thanks for your help

it cant hold the information without a power source so what about when its not connected to the power
such as a motherboards CMOS settings needs a CMOS battery to store it while the computer is off
as for a hard drive makes engravings into the disc letting it store the information without needing a power source
so my question is how does it keep the information when its not connected to the computer cause i know USB drives don't have a Battery of any sort an i know it doesn't make engravings cause its all chips
Please someone who actually knows how this works answer my Question instead of saying it has a power source (the computer) because that takes away the whole point
