Flash Drive problem, showing 900 megs of 8 gigs?

I just purchased the 8 gig cruzer platinum
I installed chrome OS on it using these setting, http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/download-google-chrome-os-and-run-on-a-real-computer/

then formated it, and it is only showing up as 900 megs free

how do i revert it back to factory settings to be the full 8 gigs
it was 8 gigs when i opened it

check it is 8gb some sellers have formatted the drives with compression showing large drives when they are only 2 or 4gb
