Flash Drive Not Working Properly?

I have a 4GB Sandisk Cruzer flash drive. For some reason it is not working. When I plug it in the option menu asking what I want to do should appear, but it does not. In fact, my computer basically won't "realize" that the flash drive is plugged in and I can't access the files on it. The funny part is, the light on the side still works indicating it's not totally broken. I e-mailed Sandisk but have yet to receive more then a generic automated reply. Anyone know what the problem could be or a remedy?
 
I say what you do

1) Go to Sandisk.com and apply for an rma i.e. (Return Material Authorization)
2) Then you will mail the flash drive to Sandisk
3) You will track the status of the RMA you will get it back fixed and working

The only reason why I know is because RMA never returns anything that is not in working order when returning it the consumer
