I have a 2GB Kingston flash drive, which works in every computer but mine. I plug it into my USB port, and it reports that the USB drive is not recognized. I have other USB drives that work, so I know it's not the port, and I've tried the device on several ports.
I currently have a networked drive as well, which I feel may be the cause of this problem. However, I'm open to all suggestions.
I'm a computer tech, I can handle "difficult" instructions if you have them, but I've never ran across this problem, and I can't seem to find a straight answer through google. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry, forgot to mention I'm running XP Pro SP3, on a custom built machine. I'm not having any hardware problems, as this flash drive has worked before. Like I said, I think it is linked to the network drive, as the flash drive read before I connected with the network drive.
Even more details! I've restarted my computer, to no effect. The flash drive doesn't show up in My Computer, and I can't navigate to it through Windows Explorer. Can't figure this one out.
