FLASH DRIVE? NEED HELP?

ok so heres the deal
i bought a flash drive so i could save my school work onto it and present it at school
today when i plugged it into my computer a little window showed and just said like. usb mass storage device
so i had an assignment which i wanted to present tomorrow in class, and when i went to Computer, the only new folder thing that popped up was removable disk. but i just want to save it onto the flashdrive
please help me
i have Windows Vista
 
the removable disk is the flash drive. Make sure you hit the remove hardware button on the task bar BEFORE you remove the flash drive
