I thought I had a good regimen down, which was controlling my GERD fairly well. But the last week or so has been hell.
I've been taking Nexium, plus Flaxseed Oil capsules for regularity. I also started taking colloidal silver, 4oz 3 days per week. As long as I didn't go 2 weeks without taking it, I was mostly fine. I read about this as a treatment for h-pylori, but usually the h-pylori is killed and you don't have to keep taking it.
So I decided to take the 4 oz colloidal silver every day for 30 days. At the end of that, I was feeling pretty good. But after 2.5 weeks, my GERD symptoms returned. And so far, I've been unable to put out the fire again.
One day last week, I had heartburn from literally sun up to sun down. Nothing would quench it. Heartburn is unusual for me. Near constant nausea isn't, though, and I've had that for days. It seems to be gas related, as when I can burp it eases slightly. I've also had frequent temp of around 100, and some vertigo.
I was reading about Candida infections. Could this be a sign?
I guess I will be heading back to the doc...but they usually just throw PPIs at it and send me on my way.
