Flamethrowers At The Ready

I don't like him since he's a ****, but he's funny when it comes to comebacks.

George Harrison called Oasis a fad, and Noel said "Well, George Harrison was always the quiet Beatle, maybe he should stay that way"

They became frienRAB when they met though. Anyway.

I do agree with him on one point

If you can't sell out Glastonbury something is seriously wrong.

I don't think that's anything to do with hip hop. Choice of headline artist maybe , but nothing to do with the genre of music they play.

Noel Gallagher is one of the most close-minded people in popular music, and its shows in his music.
Haven't got a problem with Jay Z headlining it, its the other two that are crushingly dull.

Noel is like the model for arrogant musician who isn't as good as he thinks. I mean yeah, some of his songs I think are excellent, but he isn't a genius, therefore he isn't warranted to spout off any opinion he wishes to. He acts like an elder statesman of Rock, but he totally isn't.

I didn't say he was being racist...I said he was being prejudiced. Prejudicial in that he assumes it's because of Jay-Z that tickets sales were down, whether it be because he's black, or hip-hop, or American, or whatever the case may be. It didn't seem like he had anything to back it up other than coincidence.

But Urban brought up a good point, in that I don't know anything about the location where the concert is being held, or the type of people that live there, so I could be speaking out of turn. I was just calling it how I saw it.

Noel's a douchebag but if I could find information on the British charts than maybe he could be right. I mean over here Jay-Z would sell out a festival but correct me if I'm wrong isn't stuff like The Kooks popular over there? If that's the case than okay yeah I can see what he's saying about guitar rock being a wiser choice but only because of popularity reasons.

The Rolling Stone is an awful awful awful magazine desperately trying to stay hip and relevant by championing some of the most banal crap ever. They're the only magazine I know besides crap like Alternative Press that would give Fall Out Boy critical acclaim.
