Anobody else have tonights game blocked in Calgary? I've never seen a rogers sportsnet games blacked out.....wtf?

Same problem here in Red Deer...

Blacked out on sportsnet west, blacked out on centre ice, and its not on flames PPV. Pretty silly...

I think someone must be asleep at the switch!! And it's pissing me off cuz I want to watch the game!!

Wake up stupid Express Vu and unblock the game!

Guess I'll have to listen online and watch one of the other games on (I have Centre Ice.. I'm a Canucks Fan :D ... and they are up 2-0!)

Called Bell and the tech said the game is blocked at source. I don't believe him. The programming guide on 408 is wrong as the game goes from 7-10pm when it should only be from 7-9:30pm.

Channel 407 has the correct time but it's for the Pacific region. Oh well, they are down 2-0 now so it's not a big deal to me. But if the Flames can come back .......

Still not working.. grr! I'm not wasting my time calling Bell because they always give stupid answers.

If the game goes past 9:30 we can catch the end of the game on 407. For now, I'm listening online.

they said its a nation wide blackout working as quickly as possible to get it working damn i wanna watch the game

I'm also on a Flames board and we have a 100 post thread on this subject.

I was originally told it was an email from the NHL telling them to black it out. I then asked to see the email, then speak to a supervisor. I was hung up on.

After another 30 minutes on hold I got a helpful CSR, and was told it was a Bell screw up. My guess, the Flames game was to be blacked out in Edmonton and they hit the whole area.

I will be contacting Ken King (President of the Flames) about this with the names of people from the Flames board. If anybody would like to add their name, PM me.

Also, if anybody has the name or number of a CSR that told them it was a non-Bell issue, I'd also be greatful for that info as well.

I looked on the Bell schedule - and it says nothing about the game being blacked out in Edmonton. Says nothing either on the Sportsnet website - so that is not the reason that its not showing.

And its a good game!! I hate Bell!

I wish shaw would catch up in HD programming... I really am growing tired of having Bell/satellite... yet put up with it due to the amount of HD programming and centre ice.

Well the game was on Shaw cable and Star Choice so the only fault is with Bell. I can understand some one screwing up BUT not being able to fix the problem in three hours of prime time viewing is just plain incompetance. twg

Watched it on *C. You never missed much. Flames lost. Darn canucks have their number. My bro has BEV and never got the game and he lives two hours south of Calgary.

Yeah, I don't see it either Canucks, but I do know that the Oilers do have the right to have a Flames game blacked out locally when there is an Oilers home game; and they may have exercised with it being a PPV game.

At least my excuse makes more sense than the one Bell gave me at first. :D

I was at the game with my FIL and son. My wife and other kids at home wanted to watch it and couldn't Since I just signed up with BEV this past week, I was NOT impressed. My wife says she hates the Sat system and wants to go back to cable. This did NOT help my situation. Or that of BEV in my household.

Didn't someone at Bell screw up on the blackout mapping a couple of weeks ago with a Senators PPV as well by showing it on a freevu NHLCI in the blackout region? Get your act together, Bell!

Happened again to me for the Flames Predators game last night. All SportsNet stations failed to carry it for me, standard or hi-def.

One reason I bought the BEV HD package was for the Flames in HD. This is getting me grumpy.

As FYI, Bell helpdesk told me it was a SportsNet problem. I today emailed SportsNet and they are looking into the issue. I have had a reply and seem to be getting some response. I will post more when I hear more or get results.
