I was admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago for severe abd pain. I had a CT scan and it showed some inflamation/thickening in the terminal ileum. I was put on Flagy and Cefotaxim for a week. I have had loose stools for two weeks, 8 days after coming off the Flagyl. I do not have CDiff, I was tested twice. Does anyone know if it takes a long time for your normal flora to come back after your bowel was killed off with antibiotics?? I dont have classic symptoms for Colitis or Chrohns as I dont have blood in my stool.
