Flagstaff Vs. Denver - Bell Signal

I have been given the choice of relocation to either Flagstaff (elev 7000 ft) or Denver. (elev 5600 ft)

Can anyone tell me how the signal strengths are in these area's??
 
I'm not totally sure, but in those areas several transponders may be unavailable. I suspect that signal strenghts will be somewhat weak.
 
In Denver, you should be fine. In Flagstaff, I'd bet you lose some transponders due to the footprint of the Bell satellites, and you'd need to go to StarChoice for Canadian programming.
 
From looking at this map the 91 satellite should be good from Denver and iffy in Arizona. Not sure about 82.

I know someone in Denver and you are pretty much accurate. I think there might be 1 or 2 poor transponders on 82 for him.

Phoenix, you will run into problems with both 91 and 82. Star Choice is your best bet there for sure.
 
If satellite reception is difficult, another option, if you don't mind mediocre quality, is to get a Slingbox at a friend or relative's house in Canada. You can then watch whatever channels they have. It works best with analog cable, or if you use satellite or digital cable, it needs its own receiver, ideally, so that you aren't contending with someone there about what to watch. :)
 
Another advantage with the Slingbox is that it gets around any legal issues araising from you being outside Canada and still watching Expressvu :)
 
There is no footprint map for the DTV junkyard bird at 82. As I posted in another thread, it is highly doubtful that you will receive any signal from N4 at your location when it replaces the 2 birds now at 82.

N4 will focus more signal at Canada's west coast and north than N2 to reduce rainfade and required for the higher signal level needed for HD and mpeg4
