FL studio not detecting my MIDI keyboard?

My audio interface clearly detects the keyboard but it isn't in the list of MIDI controllers on FL Studio. I've got the MIDI cable running from the MIDI out on the keyboard to MIDI in on the audio interface which is plugged in by USB. The light for MIDI In on my interface flashes and when I play a note, the light stays on solid so it's clearly picking up the signals, any idea why FL is being a fag and not detecting it? Answers this time please, because this is yahoo answers, I asked a few days ago and got no replies, WAY TO GO GUYS, more like YAHOO IGNORANCE.

Yes I do use Fruity Loops and i DID purchase it. along with my midi controller and Mixer.
