fixed my car...do I need to declare it back ON the road?

I declared my car SORN (off the road) about a year ago. Now I've fixed it do I need to declare it ON the road or will it be re-registered when I tax it? If i do need to declare it back on the road do I do so before the MOT?
 
You took it off the road, you have to tell them it is ready to go back into service and prove that it is fixed. Were you pay your registration fees should be able to help you. Each State has it's own way of doing thing.
