Ok Last night My friend was driving my Suv truck back from the airport and got pulled over for speeding. The officer told him about the speeding and gave him a ticket and he went on his way... The cop NEVER mentioned the tinted window fix it ticket but he did write it down on the ticket but like I Said never mentioned it. Im moving in the next few days and to be honest dont want to remove my tinted windows, It costs too much to get my leather seats re-treated every 3 months. and then with the summer months ahead I can only imagin the damage. Question is can my friend just go to court and say It wasnt his truck and that I am nowea to be found? Also how can it possibly be legal for someone else to remove something off property that isnt their's? He understands the entire speeding ticket part and he is going to pay that but Ill be really pissed if someone takes ANYTHING off my truck. What happens if he cant fix the problem of the tints due to me not being around?
He took the ticket to the Hwy Patrol office today and thats how he found out that the ticket also had the "fix it" portion marked off and coded with writing that said tinted windows. I looked at it a second ago and it does say it. Now another addition to that if he ends up having to fix it and im not around does anyone know what the fee is for not being able to repair the ticket due to me not being around? I live in Sandiego county California. Im trying to weigh out the options of removing the tints and re-paying to get them done again or just paying the ticket.. And for anyone that may think its a dumb move to put them back on or not want to take them off.. My leather is not all I worry about.. My wife has really fair skin and burns extrememly easy. I've tried to get some medical letter before but that never happend. I know I could use those stick on sun blinds but they REALLY obstruct my view while driving and especially for her when she drives and its on the driver side.
