unlikely....most LEO's get paid 1.5 time for court dates.....

Just the suck of Cali auto laws.....it's like a Nazi state.
 
Technically speaking, ANY exhaust modification on any vehicle is illegal. Even if you buy a totally street legal exhaust for your car let's say, you can still be cited for tampering with pollution control devices. And in Cali... forget it. Arnold can trick out his Charger, but don't you dare put on a slip on. Sorry dude.
 
Depends, the stuff you use to modify whatever in california must have a carb # or its illegal. There are actually a few parts for various things who have jumped through the proper hoops (paid the right people the right amount) to get their parts "approved".

Its all pretty much crap though because you can get pulled over for virtually any modification to anything in this state.
 
That really sucks, but I'd gladly pay that fine if I had the roads to ride that you guys out in Cali have. I live in Florida and there is virtually no where to really enjoy the potential of the bike. There's alot of stunters that run around here, wheelies, stoppies ... I guess it's like what ole Chuckie Darwin claimed creatures adapting to their inviornment. Cops are pretty much anal no matter where you live!
 
I'll just pay it and pull them out next time I ride. Its the law of averages, sooner or later you will get pulled over.
Your right though the roads are pretty sweet 90 minutes away from Laguna Seca as well. YOu got desert, mountains, red woods and coastline all within a couple of hours.

Monterey is beautiful I was at the USGP back in 1989 (wow that sounds like a long time ago, proabably because it is) That was the year Bubba Shobert got hurt on the cool down lap after the race for those of you have been around for awhile.
