Fishing with Banjo Minnow...?

Is it worth purchasing the banjo minnow? i have read a lot of mixed reviews. I mainly fish at the local pond, (quite a bit of largemouth bass) and Lake Del Valle in california. I fish for largemouth bass and rainbow trout. Is this really as easy as it has advertised? and if so is it worth $19.95?
 
Get jointed suspending rapalas. These will work for both of your target fish.
