Hi,

I am going fishing this coming weekend of the beach in Brighton & Hove (weather permitting of course)

I was wondering, if there is ny other good spots besides the marina, worth a go.

Also after watching that Valentine bloke on the BBC Lobster gaffing, Does anyone knoe if their are any lobsters around the area, (arent there some rock pools past the marina)

Anyway, any tips for my fishing trip this weekend, will be gladly taken.

Cheers

there are few places fishing is allowed for safety of swwimmers:-

brighton marina wall
Palace pier at end past amusement hall (needs licence from pier)
Shoreham harbour and beach area

basically fishing from beach gets little but you can get boat trips form either the marina or from shoreham harbour that will get your more but most common catch is Mackrel!!

its NOT a lobster area as there are no rock pools and 99% of lobsters need pots to catch them!!

Newhaven has a long pier and can be quite good, chance of bass , wrasse , pollock over the rocks on the outside or off the end. Bass and flaties on the inside.
Just past Newhaven is Seaford beach again good chance of a Bass if it's quiet, and Golden grey mullet on light tackle.
