Is it okay to put table salt, which has calcium silicate? What is proportion? My fish has red spots on them. It happened when I moved them to a bigger tank. I don't know if it was from some driftwood I put in the tank. There are stuff sticking out of some of the red spots. It is red where the fin meets the back of the fish. Red spots are also all around the fish.it looks like blood, but the scales are visible.Thank you very much.

You should use aquarium salt instead of table salt. Table salt will burn their gills making them unable to breathe. Add one teaspoon of salt to every five gallons of water.

That sounds like ammonia poisoning. How is the water? Did you cycle the larger tank before you moved your fish? Also, you didn't specify what kind of fish and how large a tank before and after the move.

Did you boil the driftwood before putting it in your tank? That will have allowed the bacteria to be killed in order to be safe to go into your tank.

I suggest you perform a 50% water change and then replace half the water with treated tap water. You should then continue with 25% weekly water changes, your tank will become stable soon enough.

Good luck!
